ABQIS prides itself on its family nature, and, as such, students interact with many teachers during their time here, all of whom take an active interest in each student’s development. Advice and guidance, aimed to accentuate the specific skills and talents of each child, is ongoing. Home room teachers are appointed to classes at each Grade level, and are an important point of contact. These teachers provide appropriate pastoral care and ensuring the well-being and safety of their students. Personal development and citizenship are integrated into normal lessons to help develop the skills of young people so that they are able to make informed decisions about their life.

At the senior level, the Head of Secondary and deputy closely monitor student’s academic achievements and advise individuals on courses of study and appropriate career paths. The library contains wide variety of printed and electronic career resources for students to browse. A programme of visiting speakers and career fairs is also implemented.

Teaching

Azzan Bin Qais International School is an evolving institution and new opportunities are always presenting themselves. Teachers that are likely to be most successful in this changing environment are those that have experience of teaching in KG to Grade 12 schools and who can teach two or more subjects at different levels.

Teaching contracts include annual airfares, medical cover and tax free salary.

Teachers interested in teaching at this school in the future are invited to submit their CV directly to the Principal, Mr Danny Harrison at danny@azzanbinqais.com
